Watch Hunt

I remember when I was younger, when I wore watches more often, and then I got a little older, and I don’t know why, but I just stopped wearing them. I guess I just looked at only one aspect of wearing a watch–time–and I instead started to rely on my cell for time. Object of My Desires: Marimekko Striped Tote (as seen in Teen Vogue)

I was reading the latest Teen Vogue issue (March 2011 w/Ashley Greene on cover), and as I was perusing through the ‘Spring’s Good Things’ page (50), a very close and familiar name stood out to me (one closer than all of the other names I recognized): Marimekko.

Marimekko, established in 1951, is a Finnish textile and clothing design company renowned for its original prints and colours. The company designs and manufactures high-quality clothing, interior decoration textiles, bags and other accessories. (via Marimekko website)

Interior Lovin’

Starting over and moving into an apartment that feels, well, naked, can be somewhere along the lines of an intimidating task. The apartment is nice, but having a roof over your head is not what makes a home; it’s the substance within that we all have come to love. With the stuff we have in storage in Texas being mostly brown cardboard boxes, we know everything will be a slow process consisting of nothing more than the basics of building blocks. We also know that it will be time of reinventing ourselves and starting over.
